Baird Counseling, PLLC

Katie Baird, M.Sc.

Licensed Professional Counselor

My counseling practice spans a broad scope of client profiles and mental health concerns. I work with individuals, couples, and families on a wide range of issues, from anxiety to depression, and everything in between. Through over a decade of experience, I have developed various techniques that I tailor to match every individual and situation's uniqueness. I enjoy helping others work through difficult thoughts that lead to distressing emotions and unhealthy behaviors, but with a goal-oriented approach. Positive change and growth are attainable through therapy if the individual is willing and open to the experience.

I found my passion for counseling at Texas A&M University, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. With the LPC licensure in mind, I pursued my Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from the University of Texas at Tyler. I then obtained supervised experience as a program therapist at an inpatient hospital in Denton. In that role, I completed intakes, lead psychoeducational groups, provided individual counseling, and planned discharges. After obtaining my licensure, I transitioned to private practice and served as a therapist at Apple Counseling for nine years. I was the Director of Apple Counseling’s Prosper location for my final two years at the practice. In 2018, I started my private practice, Baird Counseling, where I have had the honor to help many clients.

I currently reside in Frisco with my husband, two daughters, and two rambunctious dogs.
